Wei Shi Bei Guan
(Northern Lion School of Martial Arts)
Teacher Information Sheet
William Seibert ( Wei Shi Bei "Northern Lion"), has been in martial arts for 33 years and teaching for 28 years. Locally he teaches at the recreational center in Marion and the Wei Shi Bei Guan in Morganton. These Schools have been around for the last ten years.

Shihan teaches Japanese Karate, Internal Kung-Fu and Judo. His Pee Wee Karate class consists of children 5 years of age and up. Presently we have 35 children attending these programs and classes can be watched during practice.

Shihan has most of his accolades displayed at his school. Besides being a United States Martial Artist Hall of Famer, he is being awarded Grand Master of the Year in July 2005 at Frederick Maryland by United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

"I am 45 years of age and have been in the Martial Arts non-stop since 17 years of age. Many things have happened over the years as a result of jealously, ego, politics and greed. There are some proclaiming to have similar achievements as those I have. These things do not concern me though unfortunately it does bastardize a very old system that has been quite pure and unchanged by modern times.

I do posses the things the Patriarch should have including the knowledge and abilities, C.F.A. Lion Pin, Scrolls of the system, books and writings, original stamps,(including that of the late Grandmaster Chau yu Feng). I do credit Sifu Kash as my direct teacher for his knowledge , teachings and making me the next Patriarch. I also credit Master Felix Revette for forming a Japanese system of Martial Arts void of hostilities and jealousies, high in abilities and knowledge. When the time comes I will continue this tradition. This needed to be said to clear the air since we live in a time when others have many problems.

My goal is to share what Martial Arts can bring a practitioner, one of true peace with yourself, knowledge of perfected techniques for defense and internal Chi (energy) for long life and health. Others that want to learn and possibly open up a Guan or Dojo in their area are welcome, but realize home study and video testing is more difficult when learning an already difficult system. I have to charge fees for teaching since it does take time and knowledge to teach from a distant. Unlike others, I will give good value for the money and will take the time with a student. This will be done by phone, video, and some privately scheduled classes at my school or at other schools I may travel to.

Note if you want to pursue such an undertaking and have viewed information on my web site, the next step is to call me to further answer your questions or concerns. I am always on the go but best time to talk would be on Sunday Mornings 8:00 to 11:00 or Late Sunday night from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. My phone number is (828) 437-2996. I do look at my email but seldom spend time in answering back since I am not an avid typist. Please call to talk to me about your individual situations."

Spoken from the heart.
